Liseleje is a coastal city in northern Zealand with 2,556 inhabitants (2014), 7 kilometers north of
Frederiksvaerk and the Kattegat. Liseleje belongs to the Capital Region, and is located in Halsnæs.

Liseleje is populated with a fixed population that inhabit Liseleje throughout the year. Liseleje characterized primarily on having many homes, and their population is growing also violently during the summer. Liseleje's commercial life broadly follows also that pattern, and a variety of shops in Liseleje is also only open in the holiday season.
In summer, the large car park at the beach center for the many beachgoers. At the entrance to the site is the baker and Lise house. It was here at the corner of the driveway the last gang murder in biker war took place on 7 June 1997.
In September 2010, one of the largest natural playgrounds, called "Havtyren", inaugurated in Liseleje.

Activities for the whole family in Liseleje
Liseleje and surroundings there are good opportunities for an active vacation for the whole family. Take, for example. the oldest children out to kite surf in Lynæs or on a mountain bike in Asserbo Plantation. Roskilde Fjord is also very popular among people who want to take on a trip by kayak or canoe.
Are you more of a cultural holiday, then invite the local area for many experiences: You can go and listen to music; it could be Tisvilde Folk Festival or the classical music festival in Gjethuset.
Liseleje area also offers a lot of nice small restaurants, where you often can experience live music. At the Brewhouse in Hundested and restaurants of Liseleje is often live music that you can listen to while you enjoy a good meal or just a good local beer.
Many artists are attracted to the area around Liseleje. There are lots of studios and galleries in
North
Zealand, where you can enjoy local artists' works. Visit for example. Ågalleriet in Frederiksværk, Tisvilde Kunsthus or glass smithy on Hundested.

Nature around Liseleje should definitely be experienced. The beautiful sandy beaches against the roaring Kattegat invites closest to you bask in the dunes or go amber hunting on the beach. The more quiet Roskilde Fjord is due to the lower and more stagnant water extremely child friendly and the beaches are also a pleasure in itself.
There are many hiking and cycling tours. It could be walking along Bakkestien - the old church from Ølsted
Frederiksvaerk, or on the small paths in
Tibirke
hills. Tisvilde fence invites to many good runs in beautiful and natural surroundings. A beautiful hike would be to trot one piece at Nordkyststien and experience the Kattegat in a different way.
Liseleje and the surrounding area has plenty to offer, so take the family on holiday in a cottage in Liseleje.
